Thought crime : welcome to George Orwell's 1984. Hate is an emotion. How are you going to control other people's emotions? Are you going to make certain feelings a crime? If so who is qualified to judge a person's emotions? What person on the planet has never felt negative emotions? OR will the laws be abused by people who want to control other people that do not agree with them? We already hear the term "hate speech" and "hate crime" thrown around in our mainstream media. People in government now are talking about censoring free speech on social media. So will people who have an agenda of control and a taste for power implement "hate" laws? Laws that will be used to shut down your rights? Like your right to freedom of speech, freedom to protest and to have your grievances heard by the government.... Sounds awfully totalitarian to me. Be careful what you wish for (ending hate) because your feelings of moral superiority over your fellow human beings is a road that often leads to destruction. One day your views
